Antonio Cromartie has fathered 10 children by eight different women and has two more on the way. As you can imagine, the New York Jets cornerback shells out quite a bit in monthly child support payments.
How much are we talking?
According to Susan Edelman of the New York Post, Cromartie pays a total of approximately $336,000 per year to the seven women he has fathered children with, not including his wife Terricka. Cromartie reportedly pays each of the women around $3,500 per month.
Considering Cromartie made $7 million last season and is responsible for all of his children, that really isn’t all that much. But the figure is still astonishing to the average person, who would be lucky to bring home an annual salary that is equivalent to about 25 percent of Cromartie’s yearly child support payments.
As Edelman notes, Cromartie has been to court several times over custody and financial dispute. One woman from Houston who Cromartie has two children with has demanded more money from the 31-year-old. Another told the Post that Cromartie is not exactly a model father.
“These kids have to Google to find out about their dad,” the woman said.
Ironically, Cromartie posted a meme on Instagram complaining about child support payments just days before the NFL veteran and his wife announced they are expecting twins. How is that possible with the procedure Cromartie supposedly had done in 2013? Your guess is as good as ours.
