Aqib Talib has hilarious take on perceived doubting of Patriots
The Patriots have been drawing motivation from the fact that some fans and media personalities wrote them off earlier in the season, but there are many people who feel they are fabricating some of that criticism to support their narrative. Rams cornerback Aqib Talib seems to agree with that assertion.
Talib, who used to play for New England, was asked at Super Bowl media night on Monday if he believes Rob Gronkowski has lost a step. He had an entertaining response.
Aqib Talib on whether Gronk has lost a step: 'All the shots are coming from y'all. They don't come from the guys watching the tape. If you watch the tape, you'd see. … When was the last time you watched some tape? Do you watch it though? You probably be drunk during the game.'

Talib was also asked about his teammate Nickell Robey-Coleman saying in an interview that age is starting to catch up to Tom Brady. Talib said those remarks were taken out of context just to create a good story.

Robey-Coleman also seemed to indicate he believes his quotes were misrepresented, but Brady and the Patriots are going to interpret them how they want to. They have been doing that throughout the playoffs, and it seems to be working. It doesn’t really matter if they are exaggerating about people criticizing them, especially if it helps them play better when the ball is kicked off.
