Baker Mayfield fires back at Colin Cowherd over Beckham report
Baker Mayfield again fired back at Colin Cowherd, this time in response to the TV/radio host’s report about Odell Beckham Jr.
Cowherd threw some cold water on the hype surrounding the Cleveland Browns. The buzz about the Browns has been great following their offseason moves, which included the acquisition of Beckham in a trade with the New York Giants. Part of Cowherd’s argument is that the Browns have been dysfunctional so long due to a bad owner. He railed on other parts of the organization and declared that Beckham isn’t happy in Cleveland.
Cowherd’s comments prompted a response from Mayfield, who said the host’s report was BS.
Come to Cleveland and ask O if he actually likes it. Just because you say you have a source doesn’t mean you’re not full of BS.
And while you’re at it… come see if I’m a baby… #10ToesDown— Baker Mayfield (@bakermayfield) April 5, 2019
Even if Beckham preferred to go elsewhere, playing in a town that loves its football, with a quarterback like Mayfield, and with his former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry, should all be appealing, especially once the Browns begin winning.
Many organizational issues are covered up once you have a franchise quarterback, which the Browns have not had this century. Mayfield provides that. They will be good, and this is just the beginning. The only wonder is why Mayfield continues to let Cowherd bother him.
