Baker Mayfield deals with left hip injury against Seahawks

Baker Mayfield went to the locker room with a left hip injury during the third quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Mayfield appeared to get hurt on a scramble during Cleveland’s first possession of the third quarter. He came up slowly and remained in the game, but he grabbed at his left hip afterwards and even crumpled in pain after a pass.

He later lost a fumble on the possession. Mayfield was termed questionable to return to the game. A few minutes after going to the locker room, Mayfield was seen jogging back to the field. Seattle had just taken the lead on a touchdown pass right after Mayfield returned.

The second-year quarterback was 17/29 for 230 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions before his injury. He also had a rushing touchdown.
