Bart Scott: Prince Amukamura is still a rookie, should be bringing donuts to work

By now we are fairly sure that most of the Giants will be offering no apologies for throwing Prince Amukamara into a cold tub. While Tom Coughlin and several players have expressed regret and frustration over the video going public, the team seems to be of the belief that hazing is done out of love and brings the team closer.

Jets linebacker Bart Scott thinks that Amukamara has not played in enough games to graduate from rookie status. For that reason, Scott says he deserves the cold tub treatment and more.

“I mean I heard about it, but come on man at the end of the day Prince Amukamara is still a rookie after four games,” Scott said during an interview with 98.7 ESPN in New York. “This morning he should have brought the donuts. Come on man. He is going to get hazed.

“You can’t try to explain it because you just sound stupid trying to explain it. What I am saying is that’s football stuff. It happens all over. We cut a B + in a dude’s head because he said he graded our defense a B+. We thought he was retarded if he thought he was performing at a B+. He should be with the 1′s. He was a rookie, so we took some clippers and we cut a B+ in his head and made him wear it.”

Well, that helps explain this ugly haircut. Prince actually played in seven games last season, but we get Scott’s point. Amukamara himself said he is unsure of why he is still being hazed as a second-year player, but I guess that’s just the way it goes for some guys. Considering this is the same Bart who has been known to say things like this, it doesn’t really surprise us that he would side with the hazers and not the hazee.
