Bears could add brother of their Pro Bowl player?
The Chicago Bears could be turning into a real family affair.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday that the Bears are working out veteran safety Terrell Edmunds this week. Terrell is a free agent after being released by the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month.
The connection here for the Bears is obvious — Terrell is the brother of Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, a two-time Pro Bowler. Though the two have yet to play together in the NFL, they were teammates in college at Virginia Tech and made NFL history in 2018 by becoming the first siblings to both be selected in the first round of the same draft.
Terrell, 27, is a journeyman at this point who is looking for his fifth career NFL team. But he was a regular starter for the Steelers for several years who is known for his versatility and hard hitting at the safety position. Terrell also has some other non-football skills that he might be able to bring to Chicago for a reunion with his brother Tremaine.
