Ben Roethlisberger responds to being called out by Myles Garrett
No. 1 overall draft pick Myles Garrett is anxious to get his hands on Ben Roethlisberger this upcoming season, and the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is ready for the challenge.
After he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns, Garrett was asked which AFC North QB he is most looking forward to dragging to the turf. He didn’t hesitate.
“Big Ben!” the former Texas A&M star said. “Big Ben is a Super Bowl winner and I heard he’s hard to take down. So, I’m coming for him first, chop him down.”
Roethlisberger took note, and he said he and his offensive linemen are looking forward to facing Cleveland on Sept. 10.
“I was talking to [Maurkice Pouncey] after Garrett called me out,” the vetera said. “Pounce got a big kick out of it. All of my linemen enjoyed hearing it. They can’t wait to get started. I can’t, either.”
Steelers tackle Marcus Gilbert is also anxiously awaiting his introduction to Garrett.

There’s nothing wrong with being confident, but Garrett should be careful what he wishes for. While he’s a tremendous athlete, he hasn’t yet adapted to life in the NFL. Better yet, he doesn’t have a full understanding of what it means to be a Brown. Typically it involves a lot of losing.
