Ben Roethlisberger was diagnosed with a concussion after leaving Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it seems unlikely that he will miss much time.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Roethlisberger’s concussion symptoms have “subsided quickly” and he is already feeling much better. He actually self-reported the symptoms after taking a high-low hit — one that resulted in a roughing the passer penalty — from Seahawks defenders Bruce Irvin and Michael Bennett on a drive in the fourth quarter.

The hit came on the fifth play of a 14-play scoring drive, so Roethlisberger may have played nine plays while concussed. He didn’t show any noticeable symptoms, but don’t be surprised if that results in more heat on the NFL.
In Week 11, Rams quarterback Case Keenum stayed in a game despite showing blatant signs of a head injury. Roethlisberger’s symptoms weren’t nearly as obvious, but it’s another week in which a player stayed in a game with a head injury.
