It’s bad enough that former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger has to hear “roll Tide!” when he goes out in public. As many of you know, Mettenberger was sucker punched by an Alabama fan at a bar in Nashville last weekend. Tennessee Titans safety Bernard Pollard must have found it pretty funny.
During training camp over the weekend, Pollard apparently gave Mettenberger a hard time about the sucker punch incident.

Don’t worry, Beanie was just messing with the rookie. When asked about yelling “roll Tide!” at Mettenberger, Pollard smiled and said he “had to let him have it.” He then issued a warning to the guy who allegedly threw the punch.
“Mettenberger is our brother,” he said, per Jim Wyatt of The Tennesseean. “And I’ll be the first to say it: If we see that sucker who punched him, it’s on. We are always going to have out brother’s back.”
That’s more like it.
