If Bill Belichick joins the Atlanta Falcons, there is speculation that he may wind up bringing some of his most well-known assistants with him.
With Belichick the early favorite to land the Atlanta job, there has already been talk about who might join him as part of his coaching staff. According to Mark Maske of the Washington Post, some around the league believe Belichick could recruit former top assistants Josh McDaniels, Matt Patricia, and Joe Judge to join him there.

For better or worse, Belichick has his trusted lieutenants and sticks to them. All three have been head coaches, albeit unsuccessful ones. They also made their names as part of Belichick’s staff on New England, and wound up returning to the Patriots after losing their head coaching jobs. Falcons fans may be quite wary since their last stint there did not go well at all.
Any team that hires Belichick will be betting that the expertise that helped win six Super Bowl titles is still there. That also means letting him bring in his trusted assistants, even if their reputations have suffered significantly in recent years.
