Bill Belichick rips Microsoft Surface tablets, will no longer use them

We are not going to see Bill Belichick spike another Microsoft Surface tablet on the sidelines this season. How do we know that? Because the New England Patriots head coach has sworn off using them.

Belichick was asked on Tuesday about the Patriots having some technology issues during Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He took the opportunity to share his thoughts on using tablets.

“I’m done with the tablets. They’re just too undependable,” Belichick said, according to Nora Princiotti of the Boston Globe. “Too much inconsistency. I just can’t take it anymore.”

Belichick went on to rant about the tablets for more than five minutes, adding that he has tried his best to use them and has no interest in continuing that practice going forward.

Here's Belichick's full answer as to why he hates the tablets. Lasted five minutes and 25 seconds. pic.twitter.com/wcSqebtQRu

This is hardly a surprise, as Belichick was seen spiking a tablet in anger (video here) during a game a couple of weeks ago. While we don’t doubt that there have been some technical issues, Belichick’s track record with technology speaks for itself. This was never going to be a match made in heaven.
