Deshaun Watson has seemingly been ahead of schedule throughout his entire rehab from the torn ACL he suffered last November, and the Houston Texans are expecting him to be available when training camp begins.
In an appearance on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” Monday, Texans head coach Bill O’Brien praised Watson for the work he has put in and said the former Clemson star should be ready for camp.
#Texans HC Bill O'Brien on @gmfb on QB Deshaun Watson: "It's his intelligence, his poise, his hunger to learn. He's a fun guy to coach. He's on schedule to participate in training camp and we're excited about that."

When Deshaun Watson suffered the first torn ACL of his football career while he was playing at Clemson, he was somehow able to fully recover in just five months. There hasn’t been any need for him to rush things this time, but he was originally expected to miss around nine months. He clearly has been able to avoid any setbacks, which is a great sign.
The Texans looked like an immediate playoff contender when they turned things over to Watson last year, and O’Brien recently indicated he has even bigger plans for the former first-round pick in 2018. Health will be a major factor for Watson, but he is obviously a fast healer.
