Marquise Goodwin burns Darrelle Revis for 84-yard touchdown (video)

Darrelle Revis Jets

Mere days after being torched by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green to the tune of 12 receptions for 180 yards and one touchdown, New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis vowed to bounce-back against the Buffalo Bills.

“It’s just small technique things. And that’s why we have corrections. There’s no game that you can come out of playing a perfect game. That’s just what it is. As easy as some people make it look or seem, it is what it is. You bounce back, and that’s why we play week to week,” Revis told USA Today earlier this week.

After being medically cleared during pregame warmups, many expected it to be Sammy Watkins who had the misfortune of taking a trip to an angry Revis Island. However, it was actually wide receiver Marquise Goodwin who drew the short straw on the very first offensive series of the game for Buffalo.

But as the saying goes, when life hands you lemons, make some lemonade.

Goodwin did exactly that and picked up where Green had left off, burning Revis for an 84-yard touchdown.

Stating the obvious, it has not been a solid start to the 2016 regular season for Revis. And after giving up yet another big play, the questions will begin pouring in for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
