Bills name Matt Barkley quarterback vs. Jets
The Buffalo Bills are very far down their quarterback depth chart.
The Bills ruled rookie quarterback Josh Allen out for Sunday’s game, and have turned to Matt Barkley to start against the New York Jets.
Welp. The #Bills have ruled out QB Josh Allen and will start… Matt Barkley vs. the #Jets.

Barkley has six career starts, all with the Chicago Bears in 2016. That’s the last time he appeared in the NFL. He was 1-5 in those starts, and has eight career touchdowns compared to 14 interceptions.
Derek Anderson, the regular backup, still has a concussion, while Nathan Peterman has been so awful that even the Bills are thinking better of throwing him under center again. There had been some hope that Allen, out for about a month with an elbow injury, may be ready this week, but that’s not happening.
