Brandon Linder signs 5-year extension with Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars have locked up offensive lineman Brandon Linder for the foreseeable future.
Linder is signing a five-year, $51.7 million extension with the Jags, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Rapoport says the deal calls for $24 million in guaranteed money.
Linder played guard as a rookie in 2014 and then was among the best centers in the league in 2016. If he remains at center, the deal would make him the highest-paid player at the position.
Note that Linder did work at guard during OTAs.

Linder’s contract is pretty similar to the five-year, $56 million deal guard Gabe Jackson signed with the Raiders this offseason.
