Brandon Marshall upset with Ndamukong Suh for hit on Jay Cutler
Brandon Marshall is extremely close with Jay Cutler, so it’s no surprise he was upset with Ndamukong Suh for laying a monster hit on the quarterback during “Monday Night Football.”
The Bears wide receiver sent a few tweets after his team won 13-7 to complain about Suh’s sack:
A Suh. What u did to Jay wasn’t cool. Great players don’t have to do that.

A Suh. Something I’ve learned and now passing down to you. Succeed with character

Though many Bears players were likely disappointed that Cutler was hurt by Suh, Marshall seems to be the only one who thinks the Lions defensive lineman did anything wrong on the play.
“That’s football,” Bears coach Lovie Smith said of the hit, per the Chicago Tribune. “Nobody’s trying to hurt anyone or anything like that. Suh’s playing hard trying to win the game.”
Suh the stomper has definitely committed some dirty plays in the past, but this wasn’t one of them. The tackle was so vicious it made one think Suh did something illegal, but he didn’t. He just plays with so much ferocity and anger, his hits often look more illegal than they are. Cutler’s lucky to have escaped without anything worse than bruised ribs.
