Brett Perriman begins rehab from stroke
Brett Perriman is beginning his rehab as he recovers from a stroke suffered earlier this month.
Back on May 3, Perriman was admitted to a hospital in south Florida after suffering a stroke. The 50-year-old former Detroit Lions wide receiver spent over three weeks at the hospital before finally being transferred to an Atlanta hospital.
Brett’s son, Breshad, who is a receiver with the Baltimore Ravens, tweeted this about his dad Friday:
My Ol boy is starting chapter 2 today! He's leaving the hospital and on his way to a rehab center. Full recovery coming soon!! #sup

Still a long road ahead of him but with faith and prayers he will make a full recovery in no time. #letsworkpops #hardbody

The Miami Herald says Perriman is being admitted to the intensive care unit for now but will transition to the hospital’s brain injury unit.
