Broncos reportedly not expected to trade their top WRs
The Denver Broncos have been a team worth watching with the NFL trade deadline quickly approaching, but it does not sound like we should be expecting any blockbusters from them in advance of next Tuesday.
With rumors swirling that the Broncos could entertain trade offers for top wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver reports that both players are expected to remain with the team through the end of the season.
Update to yesterday's story, the Broncos will not trade Demaryius Thomas this week and are not actively shopping him, per source. Will they listen if teams are interested as Tuesday trade deadline approaches next week? Probably. But good bet DT finishes season in Denver. #9sports

Most calls Broncos get are from teams interested in Emmanuel Sanders. The Broncos are not trading Sanders, per source. #9sports

Sanders is more productive and less expensive than Thomas, so it makes sense that the Broncos would not want to trade him. However, the flip side of that is that he would return more value, whereas most teams probably aren’t going to give up much to take on Thomas’ inflated contract at his age.
This isn’t the first we have heard about Denver being open to offers for Thomas, but it’s doubtful that any inquiry they receive is going to be worthwhile.
