The news on Monday that John Fox and the Denver Broncos have decided to part ways came as somewhat of a shock to the sports world, and it seems like some players within the team’s own locker room were just as surprised.
Shortly after it was confirmed that Fox will no longer be coaching in Denver, Broncos players took to Twitter to react to the change. They seemed stunned.
Cold World…

Those few players said an awful lot without saying much.
Prior to Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported that Fox could become available if the Broncos have an early postseason exit. Glazer was right, but Fox did not tip his hand after the game.
“I’ve seen all kinds of reports in the past,” he told reporters, per Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com. “I’m sure I’ll see some moving forward. I don’t make those decisions, I don’t control that. My intentions are to be a Denver Bronco and have been since I got here. It’s not about me, it’s about the football team.”
Judging by the way Terrance Knighton and Brandon Marshall reacted, it seems safe to assume Fox sent the same message to his team before and after the game. While professional athletes know better than to be upset with their coach the way these collegiate players were upset with theirs, I’m sure the Broncos are feeling all kinds of mixed emotions about what’s to come.
