Broncos’ newly-signed RB Theo Riddick reportedly out 6-8 weeks
The Denver Broncos got bad news on Sunday, as they’ll be without newly-acquired running back Theo Riddick for the start of the regular season.
Riddick, who was signed last week, suffered a slight shoulder fracture in Thursday’s preseason game, and will be out for 6-to-8 weeks as a result, according to James Palmer of NFL Network.

Riddick wasn’t in line for a huge role in the Denver backfield, but has a reputation as a solid pass-catcher and probably would have seen some snaps. This isn’t a season-ender or anything close to it, but it’s certainly a setback, especially as he was just acquired and will lose out on the chance to acquaint himself with the Denver offense throughout preseason.
