Could Kevin Stefanski be out in Cleveland after six seasons as the Browns’ head coach? It seems like that is a possibility.
There is only one more week left in the NFL regular season, meaning teams that get eliminated from playoff contention are likely to make coaching changes in the days after the season ends. During a discussion on ESPN about which coaches might get fired, reporter Jeremy Fowler said that the Browns have done “preliminary research” on making a coaching change.

Stefanski has gone 44-56 over his six seasons. He started off strong with a pair of 11-win seasons in his first four years, but he has only won seven games since then. The Browns entered the season without a good starting quarterback option, and have used Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders at the position.
Stefanski is a good coach who has won games when he has had a decent quarterback. He even won 11 games one season using Deshaun Watson and Flacco. Firing Stefanski seems like the kind of move that would set back the franchise yet again, but the Browns have always been known for making moves that make little sense. Don’t count out the possibility of them doing it again.
