Browns use Terrelle Pryor at quarterback after Cody Kessler, Charlie Whitehurst injuries
Things are not great for you if you’re a Cleveland Browns quarterback.
On Sunday, both starter Cody Kessler and backup Charlie Whitehurst left the team’s 33-13 loss to the New England Patriots, leaving Pryor – the college quarterback converted to NFL wide receiver – to pick up the pieces.

Charlie Whitehurst is injured. Being the Browns quarterback is like playing drums for Spinal Tap.

Here’s a quick recap of the Browns’ quarterback adventure a mere five games into the season. They started with Robert Griffin III, who landed on injured reserve. His backup, Josh McCown, went down with a serious injury. That led to Kessler, who went down Sunday, followed by Whitehurst, who suffered the same fate. There is no word on the severity of Kessler’s or Whitehurst’s injuries, and it remains to be seen what in the world the Browns do next if neither of them can play next week.
