Browns TE plays dirty April Fools’ prank on fans
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku played a dirty trick on the fans on Friday.
Friday happens to be April Fools’ Day, and Njoku began the day by tweeting that he had asked the Browns to trade him.
Good Morning all, I have instructed my agent @malkikawa to seek a trade. I want my fans to know first…

“Good Morning all, I have instructed my agent to seek a trade. I want my fans to know first,” Njoku wrote.
He then followed it up 7 minutes later by tweeting April Fools.

Those who follow the NFL and the Browns knew this was a joke all along. Njoku received the franchise tag from the Browns a month ago. Not only that, but his agent is negotiating a possible contract extension with Cleveland.
Here is a real update, amidst this April Fool’s joke: The #Browns and TE David Njoku are in active talks on an extension, sources say, and there is confidence it can get done by the July 15 deadline.
Now back to ignoring everything (besides this) online today.

Njoku had 36 catches for 475 yards and 4 touchdowns last season with the Browns. The 25-year-old former first-round pick has been with the Browns since 2017. His future could be looking bright with Deshaun Watson now set to play quarterback in Cleveland.
