Bucs RB Peyton Barber reportedly had playbook stolen from car

Tampa Bay Buccaneers players will be studying a new playbook this offseason with new head coach Bruce Arians taking over, and running back Peyton Barber already needs a replacement.

According to Michael Seiden of WSB-TV, a group of men broke into Barber’s car early Saturday morning in Atlanta and stole several items. One of them was Barber’s team-issued tablet, which stores his playbook. Other items included his passport and a pair of expensive sunglasses.

Barber’s vehicle was one of several that were broken into around the same time, and police have surveillance footage of five men who committed the break-ins. The Bucs said they were not aware of the situation as of Saturday night and declined to comment.

For whatever reason, playbooks seem to have a tendency to go missing in the Atlanta area. If you remember, one top NFL Draft pick had his playbook stolen in Georgia last year, but police helped him get it back. The tablet that stored the playbook was password-protected, and the same is likely true of Barber’s.
