Bucs have added very interesting requirements for season ticket holders

Tom Brady had one of the best seasons of his career in 2021, which led many to believe he can play another five seasons in the NFL if he wants to. It does not seem like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers expect that to happen, however.

The Buccaneers have added some interesting requirements to their season ticket policy this offseason. Anyone who purchases a season ticket package for 2022 must commit to buying the seats for two seasons. Also, only those with a Florida driver’s license can purchase tickets in the lower bowl portion of Raymond James Stadium.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are requiring season ticket holders to buy tickets for two full seasons, per @TB_Times.

The Bucs have a right to attach the condition, a clear acknowledgement that 2022 may be Tom Brady's last season.

If the Bucs expected Brady to play beyond 2022, they probably would not be concerned about commitments for their 2023 season tickets. They also wouldn’t be worried about out-of-staters snatching up all the premium seats. Of course, you can’t blame them for assuming Brady will play just one more year.

Brady announced his retirement in January and changed his mind less than two months later. The 44-year-old has gone beyond just thinking about retirement — he has already done it, even if it was temporary. The same forces that were pulling him away from the game will likely still be there next offseason.

We’ve heard some wild theories about Brady’s brief retirement, but even Brady may not know what the future holds at this point. The Bucs are clearly trying to profit as much as they can while they have the seven-time Super Bowl champ.
