If it’s up to Cam Skattebo, the New York Giants would add another Arizona State Sun Devils star in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Skattebo was among several former Arizona State stars who took part in Sunday’s annual alumni and celebrity softball game. When asked about the possibility of the Giants drafting his former teammate, wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, the running back made his stance clear.
“I’m going to try to get all my guys in the NFL, so they all have to come to the Giants, and that’s what I’m going to try to do, but hopefully get something worked out, said Skattebo, who will be turning 24 on Thursday, via Blake Niemann of FOX 10 Phoenix.
Skattebo conceded that he doesn’t have much sway yet in the Giants organization, but it was clear that he would love to be teammates again with Tyson.
“I mean, there’s a chance they get them, I’m not in charge, so I can’t really tell you. I’m still just coming out of my rookie year, so I don’t really have any power, so they’re going to do what they do, and hopefully they make the right decisions.”
Skattebo and Tyson played alongside each other for two seasons (2023 to 2024) with the Sun Devils.
Although Skattebo was a big loss for Arizona State’s attack when he left college for the pros, Tyson still found a way to shine downfield.
In the 2025 college football season, he posted 711 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns on 61 receptions despite injuries limiting him to only nine games. Including his time with the Colorado Buffaloes, Tyson accumulated 22 touchdown catches and 2,282 receiving yards in his college career.
The Giants will pick fifth overall in the 2026 draft, and with wide receiver among their top needs, Tyson could end up in the same boat as Skattebo again.
