Robert Alford may not be out of a job for long.
The Atlanta Falcons released Alford this week, halfway through the four-year, $38 million deal they gave him in 2016. Now NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says the Arizona Cardinals are expected to sign Alford.
Sources: The #AZCardinals are expected to sign former #Falcons CB Robert Alford. He’s been in talks with them and sources say it’ll get done. A nice pre-free agency addition.

Rapoport says Alford is getting a 3-year deal worth up to $24 million, with $13.5 million guaranteed.
Alford had 50 tackles and 11 passes defended in 15 games last season for Atlanta.
Between the addition of DJ Swearinger and the imminent signing of Alford, Arizona’s secondary could be much improved next season.
