Cardinals will reportedly re-sign Chris Johnson
The Arizona Cardinals are preparing for life without star running back David Johnson, and they are expected to bring back a familiar face to help fill out their backfield.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Cardinals plan to re-sign Chris Johnson.
Cardinals intend to sign Chris Johnson with today's MRI confirmed wrist surgery and IR (possibly to return) for D. Johnson as ESPN reported

Johnson, who will turn 32 later this month, spent the last two seasons in Arizona before being cut this year. He played in just four games due to injury last year but was very productive in 2015, rushing for 814 yards on 196 carries.
David Johnson is expected to miss at least two months after undergoing wrist surgery. The Cardinals have already signed a running back off of the New England Patriots practice squad, so they are clearly not trying to replace their Pro Bowler with one player. If nothing else, Chris Johnson should still be familiar with Arizona’s offensive playbook.
