Report: Cardinals willing to have both Josh Rosen and Kyler Murray on roster
The Arizona Cardinals do not appear to be anywhere close to trading Josh Rosen as rumors continue to swirl that they will draft Kyler Murray, but one thing does not necessarily need to happen in order for the other to take place.
On NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” Tuesday morning, Peter Schrager reported that several sources have told him “there will be no discount price” on Rosen — regardless of whether or not the Cardinals draft Murray No. 1 overall.
"Trust me. They're not going to trade him for 80 cents on the dollar. They've given up too much to just ship him off for nothing. There's absolutely a chance the Cardinals finish Draft weekend with both Kyler Murray and Josh Rosen in their QB room." – @PSchrags pic.twitter.com/G7L1kiRMLz

“They are looking for a premium pick, first- or second-round, and if those calls don’t come, Josh Rosen’s a big boy and Kyler Murray’s a big boy,” Schrager said. “Let’s roll out the ball and play.”
From both a financial and football standpoint, having Rosen and Murray on the roster would be a great situation for the Cardinals. That would give them two top-10 draft picks on their roster still playing under their rookie contracts, but the question is whether or not it would lead to too much drama.
Rosen was Arizona’s starter last year, and he obviously wants to continue starting going forward. If the Cardinals draft Murray, they’re essentially telling Rosen they intend to replace him.
We have already heard of several teams that are interested in trading for Rosen, but the Cardinals are doing everything they can to avoid seeming desperate. How long they can keep that up remains to be seen.
