Carson Wentz reveals what he misses with not having Nick Foles around
Now that Nick Foles has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Carson Wentz will not have to listen to the debate this season surrounding which quarterback should start for the Philadelphia Eagles. That is probably a relief for the former first-round pick, but he says there are still things he will miss when Foles isn’t around.
One of them is the coffee.
On Tuesday, Wentz told reporters he will miss Wentz’s “laid back” personality, and he also joked about what a good barista his former teammate was.
Wentz on Foles: "I just miss his personality. He’s so laid back, he’s so relaxed, and I’m kind of wired differently – I’m Type A, ‘go, go, go.’ …It was a good balance for me to see him and see his attitude. And I also miss all the coffee he made us. He was a good barista.”

Whether Wentz is a better player or not, there was a lot he could have learned from Foles. A bombshell report indicated last year that Foles was far more popular in the locker room than Wentz, and Wentz later admitted he needs to do a better job of being a leader. Foles managed to lead the Eagles to a win in the Super Bowl after Wentz went down two years ago, so there is plenty he did right.
As for the coffee, the Eagles will just have to find someone else who knows how to make a killer latte.
