Chad Kelly undergoes wrist surgery, can’t throw for three months
Former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly has run into some bad luck in advance of the 2017 NFL Draft, and his stock is plummeting because of it.
Kelly was forced to cut his Pro Day short after just 12 throws last week due to a wrist injury. He originally rescheduled the Pro Day to April 22, but Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that Kelly underwent surgery on the injured wrist Monday and will not be able to throw for three months.
Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly had surgery Monday for an acute rupture of ligament between two bones in throwing wrist. No throwing for 3 months.

The timing obviously couldn’t be worse. Kelly, who is also coming off surgery to repair a torn ACL he suffered in November, is loaded with red flags. In addition to the injury concerns, Kelly has also had off-field issues that resulted in him not being invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. It would not be a surprise if he goes undrafted.
