Report: Chandler Jones showed up shirtless to police station, appeared to be praying
The increasingly strange details of Chandler Jones’s medical emergency continue to emerge.
According to newly released police documents obtained by Boston.com, Jones arrived at the Foxborough police station early Sunday morning shirtless and appeared to be “actively praying or worshipping” in the parking lot.
“In a very hurried and haphazard-like fashion, I saw this man randomly scurry through a portion of the parking lot where our police cars are parked,” Officer David J. Foscaldo wrote in the report. “This man suddenly made a ‘b-line’ for our police station’s rear door.”
After that, Foscaldo wrote that Jones got down on his knees and put his hands behind his head as if surrendering, and then appeared to be “actively praying or worshipping.”
Jones is said to have told officers he was told to come to the station, and could not give a reason for going to the rear door. He had no drugs on him and was “cooperative and respectful.” He was evaluated by paramedics, and an officer sent to his home to retrieve his keys stated that it smelled of burnt marijuana.
