Chandler Jones agrees to sign with Raiders
AFC West teams have made several huge additions this offseason, and the Las Vegas Raiders decided on Wednesday that it was their turn.
Chandler Jones has agreed to a deal with the Raiders, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The star pass-rusher is expected to make $17 million per year.
Expect this deal to come in around $17 million a year. Big money for Chandler Jones and a big get for the new regime in Las Vegas. https://t.co/3o8dL8ytSU

Jones, 32, recorded 10.5 sacks and six forced fumbles with the Arizona Cardinals last season. He bounced back in a big way after missing most of 2020 with a biceps injury. He has been one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL for years.
Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill recently indicated that the team wanted Jones back, but only at the right price. Jones had a cryptic response on social media.
Jones was reportedly determined to play for a contender, but the Raiders might have a tough time making the playoffs next season. They may be the worst team in their division after Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos, though that is more of a compliment to the rest of the division than an insult to them. Either way, Jones will help.
