The Los Angeles Chargers have a date in mind for when they’d like to see Mike Williams make his NFL debut.
Williams, the No. 9 overall pick in the draft, has been out since injuring his back in OTAs. He says the team is targeting an October return for him.

Williams on Friday saw his first practice action since May, so he is making progress in his recovery. They decided to keep him on the active roster to begin the season, indicated they planned to get him back at some point before Week 6. It seems like they could have him on the field for Week 4.
