Chiefs fan Big Buck Chuck getting credit for historic comeback against Texans

Big Buck Chuck

The Kansas City Chiefs mounted an incredible comeback against the Houston Texans on Sunday, but Patrick Mahomes may not be the person who deserves the most credit for the feat.

The Chiefs trailed 24-0 at one point in the first half, but they somehow went into the locker room with a 28-24 lead. They became the first team in NFL history — both regular season and playoffs — to trail by 24-or-more points in the first half and have a lead after two quarters, according to NFL research. When Kansas City fell behind 21-0, a diehard Chiefs fan who goes by “Big Buck Chuck” decided he needed to turn the team’s luck. Big Buck Chuck took one for the team and decided to leave Arrowhead Stadium.

That’s right, Big Buck Chuck left a playoff game in the first quarter. The best part is he didn’t seem particular disgusted with the performance from his team. He genuinely felt he was jinxing the Chiefs and had no choice. He even promised he would not attend the AFC Championship Game.

Of course, Chuck’s mentions went nuts as his video went viral. Some fans even offered to cover the cost of his ticket since he had to leave. Big Buck Chuck gave out his CashApp handle so those grateful for his sacrifice could hook him up.

The Chiefs made so many mistakes early in the game that it appeared they had no chance to win, but Texans coach Bill O’Brien made up for it with some head-scratching decisions. The real story, however, was Big Buck Chuck. Kansas City should be grateful he is so self-aware.
