Christian McCaffrey had a funny response to the photo of him looking jacked that went viral recently.
The Carolina Panthers posted a photo to Instagram on April 30 that happened to show McCaffrey’s biceps bulging.
On Tuesday, the Panthers running back was at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina to watch Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final between the Hurricanes and Boston Bruins. He did an interview with NBC Sports Network where he was asked about the photo. His answer was pretty modest.
“The internet’s a wild thing. A picture that somebody else takes can go viral like that. But they caught me at a good time, good lighting. But it’s all a hoax. I feel good. The offseason went well,” he said on NBC Sports Network.
That’s OK, Christian. You can admit you’ve been spending time in the gym and that the weight lifting is paying off.
The second-year running back had 1,965 yards from scrimmage last season and scored 13 touchdowns, proving he was worthy of the No. 8 selection in the 2017 draft.
