Rookie Christo Bilukidi says being a Raider got him out of a $428 ticket
Christo Bilukidi may be a sixth-round draft choice and have only around 550 Twitter followers, but he has quickly realized that he is at a point in his life where social media needs to be used more carefully. The defensive tackle out of Georgia State tweeted about an incident he had with police officers on Monday but has since deleted it. Fortunately for us, Pro Football Talk was able to transcribe what Bilukidi wrote before removing it.
“Ran a red light n got pulled over, cop ask me what I do n I said I’m a Raider, I dodged a 428$ ticket. #BigLeague,” Bilukidi wrote according to PFT.
For $428, he must have done slightly more than just run a red light. If the police officer really let him off because he’s a Raider, I guess any football player gets to skate on moving violations — even rookies who were taken in the sixth round.
Since the tweet has already been deleted, it’s safe to assume Bilukidi either realized he made a big mistake or was spoken to by someone within the Oakland organization. Ray Rice learned his lesson with this a couple of years ago, but his potential violation was much less serious. If a cop lets you off of a ticket because you’re a football player, just consider yourself lucky. Bragging about it accomplishes nothing.
