
Clayton Beathard, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback CJ Beathard, died early Saturday morning after being stabbed outside a bar in Nashville, police said.
Beathard, 22, and Paul Trapeni III, 21, were fatally stabbed during a fight that took place outside Dogwood Bar. The fight began over a woman, according to police. Multiple people were said to be involved in the fight.
Beathard and Trapeni were stabbed in the side and were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they died. A third person was also stabbed but was released after being treated.

Clayton Beathard was a junior quarterback at Long Island University this season. His brother CJ attended Iowa. The two are the grandsons of former NFL executive Bobby Beathard.
