The Baltimore Ravens’ defense is going to look a lot different next season.
After the Ravens lost Terrell Suggs to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, star linebacker C.J. Mosley agreed to a massive contract with the New York Jets early Tuesday morning that includes a whopping $51 million guaranteed.
Sources: Former #Ravens LB CJ Mosley is expected to sign with the #Jets on a massive 5-year, $85M deal worth $51M guaranteed. That’s $17M per year. It took a lot to leave Baltimore.

Mosley reportedly preferred to remain with the Ravens and was even considering taking less money to return, but the Jets ended up increasing their offer to him and must have created a significant gap between themselves and Baltimore.
Mosley, 26, was the Ravens’ first-round pick in 2014. He has made the Pro Bowl in four of his five NFL seasons, and he and Carolina Panthers star Luke Kuechly are the only two linebackers to record over 500 tackles, eight sacks and eight interceptions since 2014. Losing him is a massive blow to Baltimore’s defense.
