Detroit Lions defensive lineman CJ Mosley was sent home from London last week prior to the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons for a violation of team rules. Now we know what rule he broke.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Lions team officials were alerted to Mosley’s room after learning the veteran disabled the smoke alarm in his room because he wanted to smoke some weed. Seems pretty stupid, right?
Like SI’s Tom Mantzouranis says, there was a much better way of getting high in the room without disabling the smoke alarm.
Stupid CJ Mosley. Everyone who went to college knows you run the shower really hot and towel the bathroom door. Duh.

This matter isn’t over, though. Mort also reports that Mosley and the NFLPA have filed a grievance against the Lions to overturn the suspension.
