Clay Matthews forces fumble with awesome flying tackle

Clay Matthews forced a fumble that the Green Bay Packers returned for a touchdown in the second quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday after making a sweet flying tackle.

Matthews came in around the edge on a 3rd and 1 at the Cincinnati 22 and launched himself at BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Matthews leveled Green-Ellis, forcing the ball loose. MD Jennings picked up the ball and returned it for a touchdown to make it 14-10 Cincinnati.

The amazing play by Matthews was part of a string of plays that went Green Bay’s way. After the Packers allowed a touchdown on Cincinnati’s opening drive and then fumbled the ensuing kickoff and allowed another touchdown to fall behind 14-0, they caused four straight turnovers to get back in the game. They got an interception by Sam Shields, forced and recovered a Jermaine Gresham fumble, forced and recovered the Green-Ellis fumble, and they forced and recovered an Andy Dalton fumble.

Below is a good look at the airborne Matthews and another angle for the play:
