The Cleveland Browns will finally have some options at quarterback on Sunday.
Both Cody Kessler and Josh McCown are practicing with the intention of being ready for Cleveland’s game against the Tennessee Titans, and it will fall upon coach Hue Jackson to figure out who he will start.
“My goal, obviously, is to be ready to go on Sunday,” Kessler said, via Pat McManamon of ESPN.

Kessler had been starting, but McCown opened the season ahead of him in the pecking order. Naturally, Kessler would prefer to keep his gig.
“That’s obviously coach Jackson’s decision,” Kessler said. “He makes the call on all those. But I’m going to continue to keep the same process and continue to prepare like I have the last few weeks.”
After what happened last week, Jackson is probably thrilled to have any options to begin with. If McCown is healthy, he’d probably be tipped as the favorite, but it’s tough to tell at this point beyond idle speculation.
