After his dominant performance against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, most of us thought San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was in for a monster year. Since that game, the former Nevada star has thrown six touchdowns and six interceptions. His quarterback rating in a 10-9 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday was an abysmal 42.0. Kaepernick is hoping some of the haters on Twitter will motivate him to bounce back.
Despite his underwhelming play, the Niners had won five-straight games prior to facing Carolina. The last time San Francisco lost (Sept. 22 against the Indianapolis Colts), Kaepernick favorited a bunch of hateful tweets he received. He did it again this week.
@Kaepernick7 you are an overrated clown, keep killing your team's chances dumb ass lol

I say this CONSTANTLY “@FreeLaddin: Bro, you suck. Shoulda kept Alex smith @Kaepernick7”

“It’s something that I do for me,” Kaepernick said back in September. “It helps me.”
Last time, he bounced back with a 167-yard, two-touchdown performance in a win over the St. Louis Rams. Kaepernick will likely need better stats than that when his team travels to New Orleans to face the Saints on Sunday. Niners fans can only hope the Twitter hate has the same healing power this time around.
