The Indianapolis Colts have made Andrew Luck a very wealthy man.
Colts owner Jim Irsay confirmed on Twitter that Luck had signed a new contract through 2021, with the finances making it the largest contract in league history.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter clarified the terms, including the fact that Luck will receive a record $87 million in guaranteed money.

5-year extension (6-year deal).

Luck would have become an unrestricted free agent after 2016, so keeping him in the fold is a big win for Indianapolis. There was talk that his shoulder might be giving the team pause, but clearly they got over any concerns they had to give him the biggest guarantee in NFL history.
