The Dallas Cowboys got a major injury scare when All-Pro guard Zack Martin had back soreness, but the early news seems good.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys will take things slow with Martin, but MRI results on his bad back were encouraging.
Cowboys’ G Zack Martin underwent an MRI on his back. The Cowboys “are encouraged” by the test results but Martin will not be rushed back to action anytime soon.

It’s the second year in a row Martin has had a preseason injury scare, and the one last year turned out fine and did not cost him any regular season action. This early in camp, there’s no reason for the Cowboys to push the veteran offensive lineman. We probably won’t see much of him in the near-term, but barring something unexpected, he’ll likely be ready for Week 1.
