Cowboys prioritizing return of 1 key offensive player?
The Dallas Cowboys have major decisions to make regarding several key free agents this offseason. One of them may be a significant priority for them, even more than most others.
Wide receiver Michael Gallup is viewed as a “priority” re-signing by the Cowboys, according to Mike Fisher of SI. Gallup is seen as not only a good player, but a good character in the locker room that the organization is eager to keep in the fold.
Gallup is a risk, as he just underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL. He is optimistic about being fully healthy for training camp, but that is not a guarantee.
Still, one can certainly understand why the Cowboys would want to keep Gallup. The 25-year-old has one 1,000-yard season to his name already, and there seems to be some discontent with some other Cowboys receivers. That may be a motivating factor toward keeping the steady Gallup in the fold, especially if other changes are made around him.
