The Baltimore Ravens had one of their worst games of the season in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and the performance from Lamar Jackson and company may have been more predictable than you would think.

The Chiefs beat the Ravens 17-10 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. The scoring output was tied for the lowest the Ravens had in a game all season, which has been a theme for Jackson-led teams in the playoffs.

As NFL reporter Scott Kacsmar pointed out, the Ravens have now had their lowest scoring output of the season in all four of Jackson’s playoff appearances. What that means is that all four times Jackson has reached the postseason, the Ravens have put up their biggest offensive dud of the year in one of their playoff games.

That stat makes Jackson an insane outlier. Joe Flacco and Philip Rivers come after Jackson on the list. Flacco’s teams and Rivers’ teams had their lowest scoring output of the year in the playoffs twice in seven postseason appearances, which is just over 28%.

Sunday’s loss was not all on Jackson. Zay Flowers had a brutal fumble at the goal line that changed the outcome of the game. Jackson and the Ravens still had chances to come back, however, and the quarterback threw a bad interception on one of those possessions.

Jackson is now 2-4 in the playoffs. He has a 75.7 passer rating in the postseason and has thrown 6 touchdowns compared to 6 interceptions. That is not the kind of production the Ravens want or expect from their $260 million leader.
