Dak Prescott cleared after concussion check, had hand examined

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott was cleared following a concussion check early in Sunday’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.

Prescott scrambled on a third down play late in the first quarter and dived towards the first down marker. He got clocked as he made his dive, although he did not seem too shaky when he got up.

Prescott went into the medical tent on the team’s sideline and was checked for a concussion. CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson said Prescott was cleared following the check. She added that he also had his left hand examined by a trainer.

The Cowboys have been more aggressive with having Prescott run the ball. He ran 11 times for 82 yards in the blowout win over the Jags, and he began the game against Washington rushing a few times as well. Though Prescott running makes the offense more dangerous, one of the consequences is that he is exposed to more hits.
