Dak Prescott is giving the Dallas Cowboys’ defense the ultimate endorsement.
Prescott has spoken highly of the Cowboys’ defense throughout training camp. He continued to praise them after they shut out the Houston Texans during the team’s 34-0 preseason win on Saturday night, calling them “tough.”
Dak Prescott on Aug. 4: "This defense is good. They're going to frustrate me, they're going to frustrate a bunch of quarterbacks we play throughout the season."
Dak last night: "I told y'all that. They're tough. … It's exciting to be on their side, I'll just put it like that." https://t.co/afnGSmRSCX

As reporter Jon Machota shared, the Cowboys’ starting defense has played eight series during the preseason and forced one fumble and six punts. The touchdown they allowed came off a turnover.
If they are good enough to give Prescott and the Dallas offense fits, chances are they will prove to be trouble for the rest of the league. That would be a continuation of last year’s trend where the defense ranked sixth in points allowed and seventh in yards. The only thing that might really hold them back this year is Ezekiel Elliott’s contract situation.
