Danny Woodhead will not be making a surprise guest appearance with the New England Patriots this weekend, despite what Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher may want to believe.
On Thursday, Barstool Sports personality PFT Commenter decided to tweet at Woodhead to find out if he was somehow playing for the Patriots this weekend. Woodhead was kind of enough to respond.

Of course, Woodhead is under contract with the San Diego Chargers. He hasn’t played for the Patriots since 2012, but Jeff Fisher mentioned a “Danny” when discussing the Patriots’ backfield in a conference call earlier this week.
The Rams tried to defend Fisher with some incredibly lame excuses, but no one is buying it. At least we can now confirm Woodhead did not miraculously recover from his torn ACL, get traded to the Patriots and somehow come off injured reserve. Thanks for clearing that up, Danny.
